Talk About My Town

So what should I tell you about Karachi, my city?

Tomb of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Karachi

Pakistan’s largest city, financial hub, home to more than 20 million people, culturally diversified are just the few things I can tell you. For me, Karachi is like a mosaic – thousands of small pieces tied up together to make a giant and collective wonder of the world. If you are touring Karachi for the first time, you will find it over-populated, dirty and polluted. Yes Karachiites (as we used to call ourselves) also don’t like this at all but this city is more than that. Here you will notice diversity in almost every angle you turn. Whether its about food, shopping, business, art and more, this city holds them all.

One thing I can say without a doubt is that a Karachiite may live happily ever after anywhere in the world, he/she will never forget about it and from time to time will remember about this great city.

What else should I tell you about Karachi? Well as the saying goes “picture speaks better than words” (or may be I just made it up), enjoy this HD time-lapse video of Karachi

And this is the 360° view of Karachi from my roof top
