Like all other fathers of super-charge kid (or kids), weekend is something very special. Kids anxiously look forward to spend time with their daddies who were unable to play with them on weekdays because of their jobs.
Uzair is no exception and weekend for him means staying with his Baba from dusk till dawn, and beyond.Yesterday, I had to go out for some work after 11am and when Uzair found out about it, he started to cry and kept on saying “Baba Otish Nai Jana”, which in English means: Baba, Don’t Go To Office. Jia, my wife, told him earlier in advance that I’m going to office just for a little while and I would return back before 1pm. But Uzair didn’t stopped crying and didn’t let me go that easily.
So, Jia used some other tricks and I literally had to sneaked out of my home, so that Uzair wouldn’t notice my departure. I did my work and returned home after 2pm. By then Uzair was already sleeping and Jia told me that he stopped crying after 5 minutes, when I left.
But she said that Uzair somehow made up this idea that I didn’t went to my office for work. I was gone to hunt lions!!
Yes, you read that right! I went out of my home on a perfect sunny Saturday morning to hunt lions. This new job of mine looks exciting, isn’t it?
It is indeed exciting for a guy who works in a cubicle on weekdays but on weekends, he hunt lions. Now that’s something a son can be really proud of about his father.
