I’m Still With Murree

Yup, we are still in Murree, thanks to my friend Zia, as this hill station is full of eye soothing wonders of nature.

Zia's Trip (24)

Like I mentioned in my last post about Murree (click here to read it), the area is covered with pine and oak filled mountains. There are many springs and rivulets also which adds up more beauty. You can even view snowy peaks of Kashmir and sometimes, viewing the crest of Nanga Parbat is also possible.

You can reach Murree from either Islamabad or Rawalpindi via rental cars which are easily available. Most of the hotels are located in Mall Road area where accommodation is available on reasonable rates during off-seasons. But during summer and winter, empty rooms are hard to find and hotels will charge you more if they have one.

Hello Sunshine!

Zia's Trip (1)

Every season has its own charm and enjoying them up on a hill station like Murree is so amazing. Here is a breakdown of all 4 seasons in Murree:

Zia's Trip (2)

Spring begins in March and lasts till mid of May. Max temperature lies between 12°C to 20°C and minimum of about between 4° and 10°. Spring brings heavy rain and hail storms in the area but the fruit trees laden with flowers give you a spectacular view.

The season of falling leaves aka autumn starts with September and lasts till early December. Temperatures remain mild and clear skies could be seen in the area. That’s when you can enjoy full view of mountains, close and far.

Not so dark!

December comes with winter of course and normally brings heavy snowfall. Murree and all surrounding areas covers up with thick snow during the winter. It is also the time when tourists flock the area as enjoying snowfall in Murree has its own charm. Temperature mostly drifts around the freezing point.

Without any doubt, Murree is one of the top 10 places to visit in Pakistan and I’m very much thankful to my friend Zia for sharing his trip pictures with me. Click here to check out earlier posts I have published of his trip.

Until next time!

It is indeed. There is so much to see in Murree. My Uncle and his family also went there last year and they are still talking about it.
