Eat to live. That’s me, all the way. I can survive with a few cookies and a glass of water.
Best meal of my life? Is there an accurate answer for this?
I don’t think so.
I mean how can anyone say that what I ate yesterday was definitely the best meal of my life. I will not be able to eat another dish like that for ages to come. That meal was so exquisite from every aspect, as it left a lasting impression on my taste buds.
Honestly speaking, I have my favorites and the list is long. Okay, not long like a toilet roll but it includes what I like to eat and I do make amendments in it. Would you believe me if I tell you that I didn’t tasted spaghetti until 2010 or may be 2011? Jia, my wife, had prepared it so many times but I never tasted it. Every other family member loved it but I ate something else. Then one day, I decided to give it a try and got completely blown away. I even hated myself for not trying it before as now I look forward to the dinner time more eagerly whenever spaghetti is in the menu.
My point is you may have eaten something really really special, that has taken your breath away. But that dish, my friend, is definitely not the only “must eat to believe” meal of your life. As you can’t paint anything using just one color, bringing up diversity in our dishes and introducing our taste buds to new cuisine is a must. Of course, no one will send you to prison for eating your favorite all the time. But you must introduce new taste in your life.
Just eat good and eat healthy!
By the way, I haven’t traveled to lands afar in order to satisfy my desire of the best meal ever. I may someday but for now, my city Karachi have enough on the table to serve me up and millions of other citizens with the most exquisite variety of meals round the clock.
