Weekly Photo Challenge – Fresh

Topic of Hugh’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Week 2 is Fresh.

Having fresh diet during weekdays is very essential for all those 9 to 5 people. Since I belong to that group, so I have a very special person in my life who keeps my diet healthy and fresh.

Every weekday, Jia (my lovely wife) prepares my lunch which consists of either sandwiches, buns or some rice dish. I don’t order lunch from some restaurant or diner, although there are so many available around my office. On some rare occasions I may but normally, I don’t leave home for office without carrying my lunch.

Two Buns with homemade Kebabs (in short: Bun Kebab). For this, kebabs are mashed with chopped cabbage and some mayo-garlic sauce.

No difference in the recipe for these sandwiches, except bread is use instead of buns here.

(Bonus: click here for a great recipe of Chicken Kebab I found at a fellow Pakistani blogger. Try it out!!)

From Monday to Thursday, my lunch is either sandwiches or bun kebabs. But on Friday, I enjoy something special. Enter homemade Biryani, a rice dish full of spices, meat and what not. This local dish is so mouth watering and it sure makes my Friday special as I look forward to weekend. Because then I enjoy more specials for being at home 🙂

I agree, Hammad, homemade is by far the best source of freshness and flavour.
Your homemade lunch looks very appetizing. I wonder if I would be able not to eat the lot before lunchtime arrives? 😀

Thanks Hugh! The lunch is of course appetizing and luckily, I can control myself long enough from morning to enjoy it at the proper time.
But that’s just me. Don’t know about the others 🙂
