The light flashed above us
Alerting our brigade completely
It was the time to drop down
From high above the skies
The mission was critical
As countless lives dependent upon it
The first squadron dived below
They were the bravest of all
The wind carried them smoothly
Towards their targets far below
They did what they had to do
And then it was our turn
The light flashed once again
More brightly than ever before
We all took our biggest leap
Towards the shiny moment of glory
The darkness of night didn’t slowed us
As light above guided us through
As we edged towards our targets
I looked upon to my comrades
We were born to do this
To bring life upon the earth
One by one, we all fall down
And completed our mission
But not before bringing smiles
Upon countless dried souls
Their long wait was over now
And prayers were finally answered
In the form of us
The drops of rain!

Wrote this on a summer when there was no rain, which made me wonder about those who are more less fortunate than me.
Thank you for liking this, V.J. 🙂
