Like a cloud high above, you protect us
From the heat and harshness of life
Even a little shower of love
Makes you so special and gentle
You keep a watchful eye
In times when we are lost
You guide us through the paths
When no other light is around
Our silliness may trigger the thunder
But your strictness is for our own good
You held us in your hands
When we opened our eyes
Your firm grip reminded us
You will never let us fall
All those running and climbing
Showed how much you care
The smile on our faces
Is the reason of your life
There aren’t enough words
To say how much thankful I’m
For all that you have given to us
And asking nothing but love in return
To you, my father!
Today isn’t Father’s Day but I dedicated this to you and your father. I understand some may not agree with my point of view here but where I live, a father is a blessing unlike any other.
A father is a great blessing. I do think that children who grow up without a father have a gap within them that will never be filled. But a mother is also a great blessing. All right: let’s be frank, I am old-fashioned and wait (but shall not see) what happens to generations to come who will evolve in mono-parental or homo-parental families. I will not fight against these new models of family but I would like to know whether or not the children will not become crippled adults – I mean adults with a crippled psyche. Perhaps not. I really do not know.
Meanwhile I am thankful to have had both parents: a father and a mother & I am grateful to them and for them. So I completely agree with you.

Interesting point of view and I agree with you here. Over here in Pakistan, many things are being Westernized, including relationships.
I hear and read painful stories about parental and children relationships, which is very bad. Even I do disagree with my mother sometime but the moment I misbehave, I feel like as if I have done the most horrible thing ever imagined. I don’t rest up until I apologize.
