Fun Foto Challenge – Winter-Water

I didn’t participated in last 4 episodes of Cee Neuner’s Fun Foto Challenge series about seasons and elements because I was unable to make a combination of 2 in a single frame.

But then I read the topic of last episode, Winter – Water and I realized that I may had one picture, though not a perfect one, but it will sure justify the topic.

This was captured in late Feb 2015, when weather was still chilly enough in Karachi for a 2 year old to sit in a tub full of water. So, Uzair was only allowed to play while sitting outside the tub, wearing his jacket.

    I was wondering why you were not as present as usual on the net with your blog and worrying. Thank you for the explanation you give. Uzair seemed to enjoy himself though in winter but his jacket seems warm enough. Aren’t you surprised at the speed with which he changes and is growing up?

      Today, I looked at few old pictures of his on my computer and wondered the same as you did. He is growing up fast as time is flying with the same speed.
      It is very hot today here in Karachi and we are keeping the kids inside during the daytime. Uzair love to take bath in the tub but Jia only allows him to sit in that during the weekend, when I’m at the home.

      We had a few grey and chilly days and it has turned warmer today but it was chilly this morning and definitely not “hot” now (5 pm): warmer is the word. But it is typical April day here. We have a saying: “En avril ne te découvre pas d’un fil ; en mai, fais ce qu’il te plait”. This translates: “in April do not take a thread off your garments: in May do as you please.” The fact is your need your winter garments / clothes nearby in April as the weather changes often and unexpectedly. It turns to summer and warm days in May.
      Uzair seems a very investigative lad and I understand Jia: you may and can stay with him when he is playing in the tub on weekends without fear of him sliding in the bath and under water. Meanwhile he may attend to the household. He needs to have a eye kept on him!
      But my! Has he grown up!!!

      For past couple of years, winter is lasting till mid or end of February. By early March, you can see the signs of spring from trees and flowers. And April usually means summer has begun. And yes, it has begun and it is warming us all here.
      When it comes to playing in his water tub, your honorary nephew doesn’t like anyone near around him. Throw some toys in the tub and he will play for hours. But we usually don’t let him play that much. Maximum 30 minutes are fine for him and yes, I do keep an eye on him, even if he doesn’t like it.☺
