Public’s Transport

Wanna hit the road?

Beside being flooded up with all those app-driven facilities like Uber, Careem and more, the old age public transport system is still hanging on the roads of Karachi.

One may also point towards the large number of private cars and motorbikes on the road but not everyone own a one, so these following vehicles provide cheap access to them in reaching their destination.

Rickshaws like these can accommodate 3-4 people, so they are mostly hired by small families and group of friends. Nowadays, larger versions of rickshaws are also running on roads.

A bus (most commonly known here as mini-bus or coach) is perfect for reaching far corners of the city from home. They may not be as fancy as one might expect but if you have to go to the other side of Karachi, this is your only option.

And of course, the train. In Pakistan, they are the most common used for inter-city travel and it surely provide the most amazing glimpse of Pakistan’s landscape.

This is my entry for Nancy Merrill’s A Photo a Week Challenge: Public Transportation
