Life’s New Chapter For My Son

A new beginning for my precious son!

Today was a special day for Uzair as he proudly stepped in one of Karachi’s most reknowned schools as a student of Class 1 (or Grade 1 if you prefer).

Jia and I felt very happy for him and he too was jubilant since yesterday as this new chapter in his life is filled up with so much new.

New friends to make, a big playground to play in, supportive teachers and lots of learning opportunities, not just from course syllabus, but also from the very environment he will spend his weekdays in.

Uzair prepared very hard to clear up the entry test for this school and even though I had my concerns about what and why am I putting my precious Uzair through the tiresome routine at such an early age, the end result did turned out to be very fruitful for him, along with me and Jia.

He cleared up the written phase of test, verbal group discussion task and interview session with his parents, all of which went really well. And upon seeing his name in the list of selected candidates, Jia and I felt so much proud of him and much relaxed too as efforts by him and us finally gave us what we desired.

So, what Uzair did today on his first day at school in Class I?

Sadly, like all other parents, I wasn’t allowed to sit right next to him inside the class, so I will never know for sure. But Uzair informed me all about it when he stepped out after the final bell rang.

Today’s session was about 3 hours long only but he did met his new teachers. He met his new classmates also and enjoyed a short snacks break as well. No teaching took place today as it was an introductory session only but I’m sure that in coming days, he will learn about lots of things.

Listening to him, after I return back home from work, wipes out all the stress and pressure of workplace from my mind. Because he loves to tell me about his day and I just love listening to him.

And I will be hearing a lot more in coming days!

      Yeah!
Seems like yesterday when I used to carry him in my arms, which I certainly can’t do now 🙂

It is wonderful how excited he was about school. I was not that child. So much relief for the parents! Good luck to Uzair. Looks like he is going to do just fine.

He was missing the school environment because of summer break, so he is definitely very much excited about going back to a new and bigger school, than the previous one 🙂

Good luck, Uzair. New adventures can be so exciting, even if they are a bit scary. The world is so big and I know Uzair has much to offer it.

Exactly right, Marie. Even as a adult, I do feel scare sometimes but that’s just the reason for keep on moving ahead. Uzair is certainly more happy than scare, on the other hand, which is very good I think. Thank you for reading out my post 🙂
