Hot summer as usual in my town but no stepping on the beach!
With many thanks to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, the beaches of my Karachi are still closed for public.
Whereas, lockdown restrictions were lifted by the government after receiving immense pressure from markets owners and many other financial sectors, so that they could earn the “much needed” livelihood in the season of Eid.
Which sadly resulted in deflating of the curve as per expectations!
So, these days, I’m longing more to go over to the beach and just stay there with waves, sand and ocean breeze.
These amazing wonders of nature posses the power to sooth up tired minds and souls in the most refreshing way possible.
And also provide the much needed escape from what we are going through everyday.
But no stepping on the beach as local law enforcing authorities are determined to keep the beaches safe from public more than ever.
My heart is very much sad now π¦

I thought about linking this with your surf prompt but the absence of surfing and surfers stopped me.

The beach is a place where people could go safely IF they stayed apart. I hope they will open your beaches and people will use them safely.

Over in my town, a trip to the beach means quality fun with family in the most cheap way possible. Hence, beach was always crowded up during the whole summer before pandemic hit us.
People here aren’t following social distancing, despite knowing and understanding the reason behind it. I’m afraid that safety on the beaches will be hard to follow in my town!

We have lifted many restrictions and no new infections.. we are lucky..

This is really good. Over here, both people and government are out of their minds as people aren’t following social distancing and government isn’t willing to impose complete lockdown. Hence, the curve is deflating day by day, sadly.

Glad to know about it. Last night, kids were begging in my home for some outing. They settled up for ice cream π
