A Photo A Week Challenge – Always Unedited

I rarely perform editing!

Mainly because of time limitation.

I can perform basic photo editing techniques like crop, rotate, size change, applying simple filters, etc but not by using those heavyweight Photoshop or Lightroom softwares.

Many years ago, I enrolled in a course about digital image editing but I didn’t passed it with flying colors.

I’m certainly not against those creative individuals who are producing such an amazing work of art by using state of the art photographic equipment and softwares.

Their work is certainly admirable in every way!

Whereas, I own a mid-level smartphone through which I love to captures photos of my surroundings.

All of the above photos are 100% unedited 🙂

same with mine, usually except maybe a slight crop and a shade lighter 🙂
But not on a phone of any kind but taken with my little travel canon shot, recommended by Brian aka Bushboy

Most of the times, I don’t even bother for a slight crop or change in the shade. Brian’s work is very amazing.

I only crop it if I want to view it as entirely new. That works out well for me 🙂

I much rather see an unedited photo than one that is overdone and so obviously edited to the extreme. Keep doing whatever you are happy with on your pics. 😊

I like all kinds of editing work on photos but I can’t do it myself. So happy I’m with what I’m comfortable with 🙂

If you are fine with the end result, then there’s no need for editing.

Mostly what I do is similar: cropping and adjusting for color when needed to look like what I saw, something the phone doesn’t always do well. I used to think that I’d never be able to take photos like some of the photos I saw for sale and then I realized how heavily they were edited and didn’t feel so bad. I have mixed feelings about that much editing. 🙂

I’ve seen photo editing tutorial videos on Photoshop and LightRoom on YouTube, They are certainly mind-blowing but not for everyone. Perfecting one photo on them can take hours!
