Spinning over our heads to cool us!
Because the heat in many parts of the world is way too much and we must cool down ourselves.
Fans may not provide coolness like an air conditioner but at least some level of comfort is achieved by sitting beneath them.
And if they aren’t turned on, I like to capture them up close.
Yes! And with the floor fans, have you with your children sat in front of them and made silly noises?

I did that when I was young. It was fun really. No floor fans in home now, so kids in my home have no idea about it.

We hang cold, wet towels in the bathroom and place the floor fan behind them. A Swamp Cooler. Works quite well.

Nice idea, Andrew but for this I would have to buy a floor fan first.

They are not so expensive, unless they are not part of Pakistan’s decor. A Pedestal Fan will work too. Here in Australia it gets so hot that ceiling fans are pathetic. In winter we point the Fans at the ceiling to make the warm air come back down, and put on another jumper. We are lucky to live in an older, double brick house. It maintains a temperature of approximately 19c all year. Considering it was 9c last night that is pretty good.

Yes, they aren’t expensive and easily available here as well. My brother decided to check out the portable room cooler he received as his wedding gift, so we will see how much cool it can bring in our lounge 🙂
