Standing firmly!
Despite what the life and world in general throws right in the face, the very quality of staying still on the ground is a feat not everyone can master.
We all go through all kinds of highs and lows as there’s no escape from them.
What matters the most is how we deal with it!
I suppose this very logic can also apply to this electric pole.
Despite standing firmly on the ground, this pole can’t wonder about its purpose or the meaning of life.
Well!
This was just a set of random thoughts that popped in my head when I captured this sunset on the road.
But now, I’m wondering about past couple of years, which have gone by so fast and they unloaded so much on to me. We are now in 2022 and who knows what would happen, considering what happened in 2021 or in 2020.
But there’s always hope. Right?
So, this is the very first Weekend Sky episode of 2022. Because of my sickness, I was unable to publish a special one on the very first weekend of 2022. But I’m all ready to keep on doing it regularly this year.
Here are the amazing sky captures shared by fellow bloggers for episode #51 of Weekend Sky:

Hi Hammad! With so many fellow bloggers double-dipping this week as a result of Lens-Artists prompt, I figured I better have a more thorough look at your weekend sky challenge and join! We’ve already met though my Sunday Stills challenge and I have good plans for some winter skies to share this Sunday on my monthly color challenge: white! Great inspiration!

Hey Terri!
I would be more than honored by your participation. I haven’t participated that actively in your Sunday Stills challenge because Sundays for me are packed with family time but I would squeeze out a little time for your challenge.
Thank you very much for stopping by 🙂

I get it, Hammad! The good thing is with Sunday Stills you can post all week for the theme!

I’m new to this challenge, but it would be a shame not to share some of the fabulous skies we’ve had lately. Here’s my mid-week weekend sky! https://margaret21.com/2022/01/12/double-dipping-into-some-new-challenges/

I must admit I was unfamiliar with your challenge Hammad so I’m very happy one of our participants featured it in her post this week on our “double-dipping” challenge. I’ll be back with a sky next week!

The 31st was not a good day. Due to the NYE celebrations that evening our visit to Cockatoo Island didn’t happen. We were left stranded on the wharf waiting for the next ferry.

Oh, I hope that wasn’t troublesome for you.

Sort of was – Jessica had planned the day carefully and we thought a visit to cockatoo island after all this time being grounded – would be fun. But not so.

Hammad, I’m sorry you were sick, and I hope 2022 brings good health. I agree with Bushboy. The pole has a great view 🙂 Thanks for joining in with WQW. I’m going to be more diligent to take pictures of the sky on the weekends.

Hey Marsha!
I’m feeling much better now but to end up a year in sickness wasn’t such a pleasant experience.
You can share any sky photo of yours at any day of the week 🙂

Stand firm, but be flexible when the winds blow – and there have been a LOT of winds lately…
