CFFC Wednesday – Paddling Towards A Connection

A simple but thought provoking way!

While enjoying an Indus river boat ride with Uzair on our Jamshoro trip of November 2020, I looked at one of the paddles being used by the lone paddler.

He was moving both of arms, in a swift motion, to control the two paddles. This was my very first experience, so I was all hooked up to it.

Every paddle strike on the river surface generated a sound of splashing thud, which was so calming. The ride was quite a long one but the soothing sounds of river and the paddling took me away from the noises of my everyday.

And seeing those ripples, as made by the paddles, was certainly the cherry on top.

I wish to experience it again.
