Weekend Sky #73 – Sep 17th

Time will pass

Wounds will heal

But the scars stay intact

As reminders of the ordeals

In the form of disastrous floods

Washing away the livelihoods of millions

Submerging their worlds and dreams

IMG_20200730_003700

But hopes never stops shining

As even the faintest one

Can brighten up the hearts

And bring back those lost smiles

And we are back, after another missing of the last weekend.

I had to go to my office whole last week, which is a bit tiresome routine for me now (all thanks to the work from home habit since 2020 because of you know what).

And then last weekend was loaded with chores and others activities at home, plus temperatures during the day were busy high-fiving with above 38°Cs, so I opted to sit indoors and on my bed as a precaution.

Thankfully, the mercury had started to lower down now as we are back to below 32°C, which is certainly a big relief.

And as for the update on Pakistan’s worst flooding disaster, about which I shared some details in episode #72, one good news is that water levels have started to recede in many areas.

But one very bad news is about the breakout of infectious and water-borne diseases, which are now wrecking havoc in the flood-hit areas, at alarming rates. Local authorities had setup field and mobile medical centers in the many areas, which are working round-the-clock but judging from the current situations, contaminating a beast like this won’t be an easy task.

Praying and hoping for the best, for everyone!

And now, let’s round up the entries from episode #72 because weekend is here 😀

I’ve heard going back to the office is proving quite a challenge for many (I am retired, but have many friends who are lamenting).

And again, I am reminded that there are many ills out there which are just as bad as Covid, if not worse. Keep safe and well.

I’m now going to my office for about 2-3 days a week, with all the necessary precautions. Schools are fully opened as all usual activities are back.
But so are the viral infections here!
I’m keeping myself and my family safe as we are avoiding unnecessary outings.

I hear you. Singapore has relaxed most of its restrictions. But we are also careful – lots of other things passing around here as well. Lots of bad flu cases. Keep well and stay safe.

Hi Hammad! How are you? I was just wondering… Were you planning on doing a new weekend sky anytime soon?

Beautiful photo of the light. Still, I am sending strength and well wishes to the victims as well as everyone else in Pakistan.

A nice photo Hammad. I’m afraid I can’t join in as WordPress won’t let me add any new photos.

Interesting to see that, our winefest’s are very small.
