Once Upon A Trip Of My Lifetime – From A Mall To A Garden

Experience two different things in one day is unique!

And for me, it was really wonderful.

So, day #3 (7th January, 2017) of the trip was all about hitting the road once again and doing some more exploring.

The first stop on our trip was City Centre Mirdif, a shopping mall located in the residential area of Mirdif, Dubai.

Visiting a giant shopping mall, with countless stores and a food court as big as a playground was certainly an eyeopener for me, Jia and Uzair because we hadn’t seen such a big one before.

Back in 2017, there were malls in Karachi but they weren’t big. Spending a day at City Centre Mirdif was completely amazing for us.

View from the entrance we took to enter the mall.

The main reason to visit the mall was to see it for the first time as my Uncle’s family hadn’t seen it also, so we all explored it.

Plus, Uzair found out about a big play area inside the mall, so he kept on asking about it as well.

Upon spotting an indoor fountain, once we entered the mall, Uzair walked towards it to get his hands wet.

The mall consists of two floors but there are so many shops in there. We kept walking around and browsed the shops from outside mostly.

I really liked the interior designing of the mall, which was simple but yet artistic.

Especially, the glass ceilings. They were quite amazing and I took many pictures of them.

The shops in the mall covers more area than my home, so seeing such big shops was quite a unique experience.

I took Uzair to a toy store, from where I bought him a toy. That store featured a dedicated section of Lego sets, which didn’t grabbed Uzair’s attention back then. He was more interested in getting a Mater toy truck instead of a Lego set then, so I bought it for him from that toy store.

Nowadays, that Mater toy truck is stored away safely in Uzair’s cabinet while he is all about playing with Lego blocks!

Once we sat in the food court of the mall, Uzair immediately started to play with his favorite toy.

Seeing upon rows and rows of food outlets and countless tables in the food court, I started to wonder about what to eat and from where. My Uncle and brother took care of that as we later enjoyed an amazing lunch there.

Walking around in the mall later made Uzair tired, so I picked up an empty cart as he sat inside, while holding his dear toy in his hands.

By the time we exit the mall, it was already evening but that didn’t stopped us from heading towards our next stop, Dubai Miracle Garden.

Being the largest natural flower garden of the world, visiting this utterly amazing place was certainly a big experience for me.

Especially, when I was getting more into photography for my blog back in 2017.

This garden is certainly a must visit place for anyone who loves flowers. I had never seen this many types of flowers under one roof ever before. Once inside the garden, all you can see are nothing but flowers.

There are tons of attractive displays in the garden, all decorated with flowers.

A floral ostrich, though not a real one 🙂

Walking beneath this floral arc was certainly a unique experience.

Of all the attractions inside the garden, seeing an actual Airbus A380 blanketed entirely with flowers is mind blowing. This took me by surprise completely, as soon as I spot this and I was in complete awe.

Being the largest natural flower garden of the world, this place will left you speechless. Once you are in the garden, there’s nothing but admiration.

As we exited from the garden, after spending more than 2 hours, I wondered about coming back during the daytime.

That would certainly be a whole new experience I say.

A one I’m looking forward to 🙂

What a day, Hammad! I can see why your son was tired though. 🙂 I was surprised how few people were at the mall. We have malls like this in the US but I’m rarely in one. Glad you enjoyed it and the garden looks like fun.

Another amazing day of my wonderful trip. Uzair’s tiredness was wiped away when I took him to the play area of the mall, which freshened him instantly. Food court was the only section which was crowded in the mall, which is quite a common scene of shopping malls in my city as well. People just visit the mall to dine out as it has become a norm here. Shopping is secondary now.

Oh, it is quite huge. We thought about exploring it entirely but it wasn’t possible. We headed towards the garden instead, which was another surprise for us 🙂
