FSCW #9 – March 6th

I just found out about a new challenge from Fandango, which is about spam comments we received on our blogs.

Apart from receiving genuine comments from people we interact on WordPress through our blogs, spam comments also makes it way through into our blog posts.

And thanks to WordPress spam blocker Akismet, many of us don’t see them in our comments section. Sometimes, a lucky spam comment slides under the radar and appears in the comments but it happens rarely.

I usually don’t check out my spam folder because checking more than 2.5k spam messages (yes, you’ve read it correctly, it is 2500) is so much more than just impossible.

But this new challenge from Fandango is quite interesting, so I rolled up my sleeves and dug out a “worthy” spam message to share with you today 🙂

Weekend Sky #12 – Dec 26th
In reply to: What a wonderful photo. Love those clouds. Here is my entry. I took these photos this morning. https://ceenphotography.com/2020/12/27/weekend-sky-12-dec-26th/

An impressive share! I’ve just forwarded this onto a friend who has been doing a little homework on this. And he in fact ordered me breakfast simply because I found it for him… lol. So let me reword this…. Thank YOU for the meal!! But yeah, thanx for spending time to talk about this topic here on your website.

By sharing a two year old post of mine to a friend of his/her, the sender of this spam message was treated with a breakfast by that friend.

Which is really mindbogglingly amazing!

People are receiving treats from their friends just by sharing my blog posts.

This just definitely made my today for sure 🙂

I’m always getting 2 line compliments with multiple self advertising. Which I delete straight away. Must keep some.

Ha! I’ve gotten a spam comment just like that, except my spammer bought his friend lunch. Thanks for joining in and sharing this spam comment with us!

      Wow!
      Breakfast, lunches.
When will we get the treats because we are the ones creating these posts?
Thank you for creating this wonderful challenge, Fandango 🙂
