From big city to a small town!
I met Guddu on Twitter few days ago.
What once was a city for kings and emperors, is now just a small dot on today’s world.
Year 2017 mark Pakistan’s 70th year of independence. That special day is about month and half days away still but I’m already feeling the spirit to celebrate it.
A centuries tower on a hillock of district Thatta, Sindh (located 100 km east of the Karachi) was recently restored back to it formal glory. But what interested me the most were the mysterious legends behind the construction of the tower, many centuries earlier.
Visit some of the most ancient havelis (mansions) of Potohar region.
These structures were constructed back in the 18th century and have tested the harshest of time.
Upon working on my Touring Pakistan series, I got this idea of sharing with you some local newspapers articles about unseen places and venues of Pakistan about which even I haven’t heard or read about earlier.
So, this article of DAWN, a Pakistani English newspaper, is the first such article and I’m planning to share more with you in coming days. Enjoy!
