Few years ago, it was hard to imagine that a foreigner would dare to even step inside Pakistan, all because of violence and terrorism in the my beloved country. That era was definitely a dark one in our history and wiping it off wasn’t so easy.

Year 2017 mark Pakistan’s 70th year of independence. That special day is about month and half days away still but I’m already feeling the spirit to celebrate it.

Today 23rd March is celebrated as Pakistan Day in Pakistan. It is a national holiday as we commemorate the passing of Lahore Resolution, an event which took place on March 23, 1940. This resolution was passed in favor of creating a group of independent states for Muslims in north-western and eastern zones within British India.

During that time, the world was at war as stage of WWII was getting fiercer each passing day. Whole world was like a big battleground, unlike anything anyone has ever seen.
