It’s been a while

Or may be more

To feel the peace

Within my heart

By being what I

Used to be once

My old self

Resides deep within

Flashing those cards

Which were my game

I ain’t what I once was

As no one stays the same

But I dearly long to see

What I used to be

My own forgotten self
